Duties and Functions of the Command Group, Administrative Section and Budget and Fiscal Office

Director for Operations

Functional Relationship: 

The Director for Operations is under the direction and authority of the Chief, Philippine National Police and the coordinating authority of The Chief Directorial Staff, PNP. He exercises control and supervision over the chiefs of different division of the directorate and its functional units.

Responsibilities:

     * Assist and advise the Chief, PNP along the areas of responsibilities assigned to the Directorate;
     * See to it that the mission and functions of the Directorate are efficiently and effectively accomplished;
     * Provide overall direction, control and supervision of ODO personnel, activities and resources; and
     * Perform other duties as directed by competent authorities.


Deputy Director

Functional Relationship 

The Deputy Director for Operations is under the authority and direction of the Director for Operations. He is the principal assistant of the Director for Operations in the operation of the Directorate.

Responsibilities: 

     * Assist DO in the execution of the mission and functions of the Directorate;
     * Performs the duties and responsibilities of the DO in the latter’s absence; and
     * Perform other duties as directed by TDO.


Executive Officer

Functional Relationship:

The Executive Officer is under the authority and direction of the Director for Operations. He is the principal assistant of the Deputy Director for Operations in the administration of the Directorate.

Responsibilities:

     * Assist the DO in the internal administration of the Directorate by directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of the various divisions;
     * Review staff actions of the Divisions to ensure completeness and preventability;
     * Monitor NHQ inter-staff requirements;
     * Ensure that TDO, TDDO and concerned personnel are duly informed of matter affecting the Directorate; and
     * Perform other duties as directed by TDO.

 
Chief, Administrative Office. The Administrative Office of the DO is responsible for the performance of the following functions:

     * Plans and coordinates all administrative matters affecting the Directorate to ensure its efficient and smooth functioning;
     * Enforce discipline among the office personnel;
     * Responsible for the control and custody of classified equipment and documents;
     * Maintain and operate an office communication center and records filing system;
     * Procure, store, issue, and maintain necessary office supplies and equipment;
     * Responsible for general clerical, graphics and reproduction services;
     * Responsible for the general upkeep of the office; 
     * Take charge of and ensure the security of the office, to include its equipment and documents; and
     * Perform other duties as directed by DO.
